High School Placement Test Practice

Thank you for considering St. John Paul II Catholic High School. 

All 8th graders considering attendance at Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio are asked to take the High School Placement Test on the second Saturday in December.  The HSPT, created by Scholastic Test Service, is a broad measure of verbal and quantitative skills, and the test results tend to track well with the PSAT and SAT.  For many students, this is the first rigorous, high-level exam with tightly timed sections that they have taken.  As such, experience with the questions and the speed required are important advantages for test-takers to gain.

Given that our kids are very busy with rigorous academics in 8th grade and with extracurricular activities, we provide these problems, four per day, to give students free and steady practice.  Print and answer at the breakfast table or on the way to school.  Share this site with your friends, and come back daily for answers and more questions.

We also offer free, on-site tutoring and practice session -- Saturday, 11 November, 9 a.m.!
