SJPIICHS has an active and engaged counseling program, designed to help parents and students maximize the formation they are receiving here at the school. Our goal is to help students identify, apply, and enter a post-secondary program that will help them become all that God has planned for them.
Diploma plan and course selection
The counseling staff and school administration help students select course and map their individual plan to a high school diploma and more importantly to excellent formation for post-secondary education. This comes each spring, during the course selection process for the coming school year. Students are most often given a separate meeting with the counselor to discuss goals, past results, and course options.
Over the last six years, SJPIICHS has added at least two new courses, and sometimes as many as five new courses, per year. More options means more careful selection!
Social/emotional counseling
Our counselor is very available to meet with students and parents to discuss social and emotional issues that a student might be having at any moment. These meetings can be arranged by just stopping by the counselor's office or through email or phone.
College counseling
It's in our mission statement to help students be prepared for and find the right placement for post-secondary education. From freshman year through and even past graduation, the counseling department walks with our students to identify potential colleges and programs, visit and research the ideal programs for a student, apply for admission, and then select college programs once acceptances are received.

Bullying and peer conflict reporting
Students can use this form to share a bullying or conflict issue within their peer group. The form is anonymous, and in cases where that is needed this form is provided. Note that our school administrationa and counselor are available readily and in most cases a faster and better result occurs when a student schedules a confidential meeting with the school counselor.
