In San Antonio, religious orders set the foundations of the vast majority of Catholic schools. The Marianists, the Holy Cross Brothers, the Ursulines, the Brigidines, the Sisters of the Incarnate Word, the Congregation of Divine Providence, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and others orders came into our parishes and communities and put in the work, dedication, and sacrifice to shepherd our Catholic schools through their infancies. Our Church has received many gifts from religious, but this is one of the most enduring and treasured: the gift of Catholic schools. John Paul II Catholic High School is now looking for those 'pioneer' teachers, who like those religious before us, are willing to sacrifice, work, and push to found a great Catholic high school in Schertz. The needs are great in the first years for dedicated persons to work with our students, to establish the vision for the myriad programs within our school, and to see the planning through to reality. 3 February 2009. A Call for Résumés As of 1 March 2010, the school is uncertain of its needs for the 2010-11 school year. We will, however, have some needs for new faculty, but will be able to hire more for compatibility with existing teachers and the mission of the school. We would encourage interested teachers to send in letters/resumes, signaling an interest in the school's mission. Submit the following items directly to the school via
e-mail or regular mail (6720 FM
482, New Braunfels, TX 78132): Additional extracurricular and athletic needs The school continues to have needs in athletics and extracurriculars for the 2010-2011 school year. Those interested should call (830.643.0802) to discuss the opportunities, to better understand the time commitment and needs. As specific needs are known, they will be posted. Call with questions 830.643.0802.
